Drakensberg – Where silence feels vast
A landscape shaped by light, distance, and quiet movement.
In the Drakensberg, space defines everything. Mountain ridges layer into the distance, light shifts slowly across valleys, and mornings arrive with a stillness that holds for hours. Nothing feels rushed here.
Further into the Midlands, the landscape softens. Rolling farmland, trees shaped by wind and season, water settling into quiet lakes and wetlands. It is a place where movement slows, and detail becomes more apparent.
This collection moves between those two environments, high escarpment and lowland calm, following light, weather, and the way the land reveals itself over time.
There is no single moment that defines this place. It is built from repetition, changing skies, shifting seasons, and the quiet presence of landscape that does not need to demand attention.
